  • FOUNDER + COLORIST

  • With a strong penchant for fashion and style, Michelle's desire to become a colorist began at a very young age. She began her career and her talents were quickly picked up by L'Oreal working on platform and teaching as an educator. With 20 years of experience in the salon industry, she has become one of the most sought after colorists in NYC. Before opening The Team, Michelle worked at Frederic Fekkai's flagship salon on Fifth Ave NY as one of the top colorists specializing in balayage and corrective color. Michelle was one of the educators for Fekkai’s training program, traveling nationally to educate new recruits as well as giving seminars on newest color techniques and trends. She has built a strong network of loyal elite clients and has worked on celebrity clients including Sigourney Weaver, Kelly Rowland, Bon Jovi, Daniel Boulud, Princess of Rome Georgina Chapman, Amy Schumer, Patricia Heaton, Kelly O’Reilly, and Linda Fiorentino. She also works closely with renowned model agencies and major social, fashion and beauty influencers.

    In 2012, Michelle founded Brush NYC in Flatiron, NY. She grew the team from ground up and has managed to hand select talents as well as training all her stylists. Michelle has grown a successful business that is a staple in the Flatiron neighborhood. Now in 2022, Michelle has opened a new exclusive oasis at 135 Fifth Ave as NYC The Team. With her most talented and knowledgeable stylists and colorists, Michelle and her team delivers the most effortless yet sophisticated and modern look. Focused on the experience and need of each client, The Team strives to deliver the best version of yourself with beautiful looks that are easily maintained. From models, influencers to New Yorkers, Michelle has created a strong network of clientele over the years.

  • Moving to NYC with dreams of being in fashion, Kimberly went to F.I.T. It was there that she realized that beautifying women is very personal, specific to lifestyle and important for self image. A career in hair was the obvious choice for her. Working with Oribe, a world reknown stylist, she experienced couture shows at the Louvre in Paris, celebrity weddings, music videos for Jennifer Lopez, and international travel for fashion magazines. With over 20 years in the industry, Kimberly has worked Serge Normant and was a top colorist at Frederic Fekkai. With Kimberly’s extensive knowledge in the industry, she has worked on runway shows, as well as campaigns for MuiMui and L’oreal. Her celebrity clients include Stephanie Seymour, Dree Hemingway, actresses Penelope Cruz and Amanda Seyfried. Kimberly has also been awarded 5 out of 5 stars for “Up and coming colorist of NYC” in Allure Magazine. After being a senior stylist at Brush NYC, Kimberly is now a founding member of NYC The Team.

  • A New York native, Natalia has been in the salon industry since the age of 14. Trained at Paul Mitchell, she prides herself in maintaining the integrity of her clients' hair while delivering vibrant reds, icy blondes, and rich brunettes. Natalia honed her skills as a specialist in balayage through ongoing education with the L'Oreal institute of Soho, and is committed to staying current on industry trends. Focusing on each individual client’s attributes, Natalia tailors color to suit a client’s eyes, skin tone and lifestyle. Natalia brings a distinctive level of skill, service and sass to her clientele. Trained by Michelle of Brush NYC, she quickly built a loyal clientele that has been with her for almost a decade. Now she is a founding member of NYC The Team.

  • Priscilla embraces the beauty of different cultures and appreciates the unique quality it brings to her vision as a colorist. She has been in the hair industry for over 15 years and has worked closely with L’oreal brands as an ambassador. Priscilla is creative, versatile and passionate about her craft. She draws inspiration from New York City’s edgy&chic styles and collaborates with clients to find the looks that enhance their natural beauty and elevate their confidence. Priscilla has been trained by founder Michelle Hong and specializes in balayage and color corrective work. She is committed to ensure that every client leaves feeling more beautiful than when they walk in!

  • Hailing from the coast of New Hampshire, Chloë came to the city in 2009 to pursue her career in the hair industry. She started at Arrojo where she trained directly under Nick Arrojo and other master stylists. She immediately fell in love with creating tailored looks that bring out each individuals beauty. Shortly after, Chloë worked at Ted Gibson Salon. Chloë has worked in shoots for Gotham magazine, Blackbook, O magazine, Glamour, and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. She has also tousled the locks of Debra Messing, Ashley Greene, Bar Refaeli, and Chanel Iman. Chloë has worked on NYFW for Lila Rose, Carmen Marc Valvo, Rachel Roy, and 2-xist. Whether its for a night out on the town with the girls or a red carpet event Chloë will make you feel like the spot light is directly on you. After being a top stylist at Brush NYC for 10 years, she is now a founding member of NYC The Team.

  • Sheila’s passion for hair has allowed her to create various styles from a daring new look to a more easygoing flair. Having a strong technical ability, Sheila has created a loyal network of clientele of weekly blowouts, bridal hair, and updos. She has a great eye for style and beauty. Her talent for creativity and professionalism has always given her clients the feeling of being beautiful and refreshed. After being a top stylist at Brush NYC for 9 years, Sheila is now a founding member NYC The Team.

  • Starting her career in Philadelphia, Hana moved to NYC and started working at Frederic Fekkai. Trained by Frederic himself, Hana worked as a top stylist for 13 years. After Fekkai Hana joined Brush NYC as a senior stylist. Hana has worked on many photo shoots and fashion shows including Marchesa, Proenza Schouler, Rag&Bone, Alice&Olivia, Rachel Roy, Dennis Basso, Prabal Gurung, Oscar de la Renta and Rachel Zoe. She has also worked on television work for Good Morning America, Martha Stewart and QVC. With such an an array of experience Hana accommodates every clients need, whether it is a haircut or an intricate up-do. Hana is a founding member of NYC The Team.

  • Born in Poland but raised in New York, Paulina always had an interest for hair styling. Growing up with three sisters, Paulina would spend her free time dressing their hair and experimenting new styles. This lead her to realize that her passion is bringing joy to an individual through a new haircut or style. She has been a part of NYFW and has created customized visions on each client. Paulina’s creativity and talent insures the clients to look the best with the most effortless ways. She joined Brush NYC in 2017 and is now a founding member of NYC The Team.

  • Being in the beauty industry for over 10 years, Rae-Ann has specializes in her hand painting balayage techniques. Having graduated as an art major she has a keen eye for color and details. As an NYC born and raised woman, Rae-Ann has spent a lot of her time painting away at a canvas which then translated to being an artist on hair. Her craft has evolved through many years being immersed in the hair and fashion industry. After being at Frederic fekkai for 10years, she has now joined NYC the team. From rich brunettes to lived in balayage highlights Rae-Ann caters to a wide range of clientele that are amazed at her color transformation. Being very up to date with trends and new styles, Rae-Ann always brings the best out of your natural beauty.

  • "When I make my clients smile, that is real success”. Jacelyn is a born and raised San Francisco California native. She has been in the industry for about 10 yrs and trained with AVEDA and Vidal Sassoon. She specializes in precision cutting, pixies, curly hair and effortless beach wave styles. Jacelyn has worked in California and NY throughout her career. In New York, she’s worked on set with The View's Whoopi Goldberg and cast members. She is now a bi-coastal stylist from New York to California. Doing what she loves, building relationships and creating amazing hair.

  • A Texas native, Ronnie grew up sweeping hair in his mom's beauty salon. After graduating from film school in 2006, Ronnie moved to New York to pursue his inherited passion for the beauty industry. He began his career at the esteemed Ted Gibson Salon, progressing from color assistant to senior colorist in a few short years and quickly becoming one of New York's premiere colorists. Ronnie's work has appeared on the covers of Seventeen and People magazine; on-screen for Kate Plus 8, The Rachael Ray Show, Dr. Oz and What Not to Wear. He has also appeared on camera for a national televised ad campaign for Suave and an upcoming TLC makeover reality show. Ronnie's high profile clientele currently includes Kate Gosselin, Patina Miller and Matthew James Thomas. He specializes in all aspects of hair color and has been certified from the Loreal Academy Soho in balayage hair painting. Ronnie strives to give his guests their perfect hair color, while having as much fun as possible in the process. After being at Brush NYC for 10 years, Ronnie is now a part of NYC The Team.
